Counting down......
I am counting down the days until my younger sister arrives from the UK to stay with me for 12 days. It will be about 3 years since she last came so I am really looking forward to her arrival. She wants to visit the Motown Museum of Music in Detroit which will be fun. I am also going to take her 'up north' to Traverse City - the cherry growing area of Michigan - the trees should all be in blossom - like driving through fields of clouds. It is so pretty up there.

Fun basket using Fancy Cuts Botanicals
I had so much fun making this cute springtime basket using a sheet of the Close To My Heart Fancy Cuts Botanicals Die cuts. I used a 12x12 piece of Vanilla Cream cardstock as the base and used the die cuts to embellish. I also added dimension and fun with 3D foam squared and Pewter Decorative brads and Edge anchors.

Valentine Card for my beloved husband
I know - it has taken me long enough to get this card photographed but here it is - a fun stair-step card in red, black and grey. I hid it in Richard's case as he wasn't here for Valentine's Day - boohoo - I spent it all on my own doing my taxes :O(
He found it when he opened his case when he got to England :O)

Living in Michigan
We love it here in Michigan - such a difference from the UK. This morning started out beautifully with gorgeous sunshine and it was soon 83 degrees - just lovely. Well we have just had a torrential rainstorm - it smells lovely out there - so fresh and clean. How the earth is meant to smell!
With the rain and the warm temps everything will be sprouting. I love the spring and summer in the garden - my favourite flowers are my lillies, the dutch irises, daffoldils and my magnolia tree - which after the rainstorm is looking a little battered :O( The flowers are so delicate but they have such a lovely fragrance.

I want to show you some of the layouts I have been making - following my wonderful trip to the Mediterranean last October with my 2 dear friends Mandy & Victoria. I have been using Close To My Heart products - Perfect day Level 2 paper pack and co-ordinating accessories. As I make the pages I will continue to add them here - so you can follow my progess - both with the trip and the scrapbooking :O)
