Sending sunshine your way

I made this fun zigzag fold card Inspired by the card created by Liz Wheeler. 

The base is 12”x 5.5” scored at 4”, 6“, 8”and 10”.  I then cut from the 4” score diagonally down to the outside edge across the score lines and ended about 1 inch from the bottom of the card. 

I really like this beautiful Sunflower stamp set with its matching Thincut die cuts it’s available on my website at sarabatkin.ctmh.com 

Gnome such thing as too many alphabets 😂

There is a ‘gnome’ such thing as too many styles of alphabets.....  

I used the thin cut die cuts for the HPPY and the gnome for the letter A and paper pieces his little jacket by stamping on the matching paper and cutting it out. 

I used the tri-blend markers to color his hat etc and the hedgehog and I’m totally in live with him

Hello summer gnome card

You gnome just how much I love popsicles.

OMG could this guy get any cuter ??? I used two of the leftover PML cards from the scrapbook class as the background and the remaining popsicle cut from the PML card. Texture paste for his beard and colors with the triblend markers and liquid glass on his belt buckle and sunglasses and I think he’s ready for a perfect sunny day 😊

Hummingbirds & flowers

I spent some of the day yesterday finishing this layout which had been inspired by a home decor piece that a friend had seen. It was so pretty and I wanted to see if I could recreate it 😀 my colors are a little softer than the inspiration piece which I’m really happy about but I still think that I captured the essence of it pretty well - what do you think ?

I stamped the base of the jar on white cardstock and then stamped the outline on vellum so that you could see the flower stems through it then shaded the flowers with the Milan watercolor pencils

This time I combined the bouts with the lace doily thin cut die cut and the thin cut stitched border hearts and I think it’s such a pretty combination 😍

Roses in Bloom . .

I love the detail in these rose blossoms - I used the TriBlend Markers to shade them.
I really like the layered look of the white cardstock and by roughing up the edges it gives them a shabby chic vintage look.
A little ribbon and a few Rose Gold sequins add texture and bling.
I used the lace doily Thin Cut Die Cut on one card and just cut the cardstock into a square on the other card  and it’s amazing how different they look.

I used leftover items from teaching my Blue Skies Mini Album to create this cute card and stamped the House images in Sapphire Ink. I used the stitched heart thin cut metal die cuts in2 of the 4 sizes from the set, in my cuttlebug machine. I fussy cut the additional little house and it’s sooo cute 😍
Red sequins finished it perfectly xx

Happy day card

Make today a happy day with this simple yet effective card featuring D1925 A Million Little Things and S2005 Time To Celebrate stamp of the month word set - available only this month.
I used a standard card base then added a white cardstock 5.25 x 4”
piece which I dry embossed with diagonal lines Dry embossed .
The Black cardstock is 5.25 x 2.25 and the stamped white cardstock is 5.25 x 2.
I colored the images using the Tri Blend markers shown.

This time a grey pottery plant holder which I painted white then used my hot glue fun to attach hessian wide ribbon and white Rosette ribbon and a whole heap of charms from the jewelry range we used to carry. Needless to say - I am thrilled with the finished result ....... now what else can I find to paint .....

Truck birthday card

We celebrated my sons birthday last week and I made him this super cool card ( he informed me the truck is a Tri5 Chevy 😂 )
The gears were a perfect pairing with the vehicle and the wide burlap ribbon gave a rustic feel to it.
I colored the white foam letters with the TriBlend alcohol markers then sealed them with liquid glass for a shiny finish.
I used the Milan watercolor pencils to shade the truck and I’m thrilled with the finished result. So was Leo 😊

Watercolor background scrapbook layout

Fabulous Friday fun with this layout from a few years ago.
I took neutral patterned paper and painted it with a diluted wash of varying shades of watercolor paint. I then painted white cardstock in deeper hues of the same shades of color and when dry, hand cut the flowers. The colors in the photo of my daughter were the inspiration for the colors of the background. Hope you love it x

Shabby chic candlestick

Who says scrapbooking supplies are just for paper ...... i used our long time retired pearl paint along with delta white paint and a a good squeeze of shimmer brush and mixed it all together and painted it into this dark wood candle I had. I attached the sparkles and the burlap ribbon with liquid glass to make sure it will stay on and added the fake ivy and a candle - when the stores are open again I will buy a cream colored battery candle as this pretty shabby chic candlestick is going into my cute vintage camper. Best friends card

I love this fun fold shaker card which I created using the goegeius ‘Love these people’ stamp set, the co-ordinating ‘These all my people’  paper and card stock packs and the shaker windows. I stamped the leaves on the green apple cardstock with its matching ink and added pink shimmer trim for some additional sparkle. The shaker card window die cut has 2 Confetti dies in the set for the pink cardstock hearts and green cardstock stars and I love the itty bitty silver star confetti. I Stamped the flowers using charcoal ink then colored them with the watercolor pencils and blended them with the clear shimmer brush. Beach Inspired card

Dreaming of the sea and the beach with this fun card which I made using left over pieces from our Seas the day paper suite. I love the sailboat and lighthouse stickers. I knotted a small piece of mink twine for texture and popped up some of the elements with 3D foam tape. A clear shimmer brush and a gold shimmer brush plus liquid glass added the sparkle and shine. My happy hippy VW bus

I’d be a happy hippy in this cute bus. Such a fun card with a spinner behind it. I dry embossed the lines radiating out from beneath the bus.
And the holographic paper is such a fun product with its ever changing colors and the new Milan watercolor pencils made it quick and easy to color.

Family Legacy Hydrangea colored card

I created this card last night using the beautiful March stamp of the month. You know this is totally my style of images 😊
I embossed the flourishes with the Copper Tinsel powder and then colored it using all three colors of the Hydrangea marker. I used the same techniques when I added the flower image from Yesterday and Today cardmaking stamp set.
