I had so much fun making this card - It used the stamp set D1234 - Take flight. I used lots of texture cardstock on here - both torn and sanded. The pheasant was colored using chalks and then I cut it out using a craft knife. The background 'wood-grain' effect was done using a toothbrush dipped in re-inker. The dimensional element bookplate was sponged with ink and then the words stamped on it. I used a matching marker to color in the edges of it. Autumn terracotta brads and chocolate waxy flax added the finishing touches. Hope you like it :O)
This card is so handsome! Your wood grain technique is superbe. I haven't done that one in a long while. Off to find an old toothbrush! Thanks for the inspiration.
