July 4th Altered Book

Here is a cute mini album which I made using an old children's book. It had thick chipboard pages. I sanded them and then added lots of adhesive to glue the paper and cardstock down.

Here I cut through one of the pages to make a 'door' and re-attached it with hinges. The photo was sandwiched between the 2 pages. Ribbon held on with staples forms the handle.

 

 

Again another 'door' with a photo between the 2 pages - the waxy flax stitching keeps the 2 pages together.

 

 

 I had loads of fun making it and I have to fess up to making this quite a while ago and found it the other day at the back of a cupboard LOL.  I Hope you like it too :O)
