Family Banner - Base & Bling

Yet another use for the Base and Bling jewelry line.

This time a fun banner which could be hung anywhere. I used the Pendant pieces and added Black cardstock. I cut the letters using the Cricut cartridge and then flooded the front with Liquid Glass as it is lighter in weight than the glass covers.

I cut the flowers using the Cricut and added a tiny purple gem to the centers. I embossed the cream cardstock frame shapes in Gold embossing powder and then hand cut each one.

I thought it looked really pretty and hope you like it as much as I do  Love Sara xxx

Luggage Tags - Base and Bling Style - Extravaganza 2014

How adorable are these. Fun luggage bag tags for your purse. I made them as a cute gift for my friends.

I used the Base and Bling pendant pieces with the alphabet stickers to personalize each one.

Instead of using the glass covers I flooded the front of each piece with Liquid glass so that i was able to set the different gems and sparkles directly into it. I then added a charm across the front - again sunk into the Liquid Glass to keep it secure.

I made the paper beads from the Seaside paper - I took a 0.5" x 3" piece and wrapped it around a wooden skewer and lots of liquid glass sealed it and stopped it from unrolling. I then sandwiched the ribbon between 2 gems for added shine and sparkle.

I hope you love them as much as my friends did and that they inspire you to create - Love Sara xxx

Tic Tac Toe - CTMH style - Extravaganza 2014

How fun is this :O)

I took a 6" canvas frame and added the Seaside paper to the front of it and used lots of Liquid Glass to attach it. I added Gold glitter paper to the sides and edged it with the Base and Bling chain. I cut thin strips of paper to make the squares and added the Gold Bling Gems.

The playing pieces are the Oval Glass Base and Bling covers with gold glitter cardstock which I had stamped the Xs and Os in Black Stazon ink. using the Glamour Uppercase stamp set (it will retire July 21st 2016 so don't wait)  I then used liquid glass to attach them to the the glass pieces. I used the same ink and the state stamp set to stamp on the cream Muslin Bag to hold all of the paying pieces.

Fun Scrapbook Mini Album in a Box - Extravaganza 2014

Love, Love, LOVE this mini album in the CTMH Journalling Cards Box. Its is the perfect size for so many things and can be decorated in so many ways - I am so sad to see it retire at the end on July :O(

Here I added this fun flowered paper and added an adorable mini album inside it.
On the outside of the box I took one of the Base and Bling bracelets which i flattened out and added ribbon which I wove in and out of the bangle part.  I was still able to add the charms by looping them into the ribbon.

I hope you love it as much as I do & that it inspires you to create - Love Sara xxx

Smile - Scrapbook Layout - Extravaganza 2014

This is such a great day - out for the day on a Catamaran boat with CTMH when we were in Costa Rica on the CTMH Incentive Trip. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful boat values at $500,000!!!

Here the Base and Bling charms and pendant pieces were mixed with the metal Seaside compliments - a perfect pairing.

The Desert sand cardstock was scored both horizontally and vertically to give the illusion of wooden planks and then heavily distressed with the White Daisy pigment ink pad. Loved the finished result. Gold bling gems (which will soon retire) formed the centers of the flowers. I use so many of these gems are they really do seem to co-ordinate with everything. Make sure you stock up before they go as it is while supplies last

You & Me Scrapbook Layout - Extravaganza 2014

This is one of my favorite layouts from CTMH - and is made using the Make it from your Heart Vol. 1 of the 'How To' programs. These programs are great as they give you a blueprint, a cutting guide and then finished artwork examples as inspiration. Brilliant !

Here is another way you can add the Base and Bling jewelry to your pages - on the left hand page I have added a pendant and on the right hand page I added the charms - the Eiffel Tower at the bottom and the '&' on the title is another charm where I cut the loop off it. I colored the now retired clear sparkle flourishes with the brown ShinHan alcohol marker.

Base & Bling Cards - Extravaganza 2014

Here are 3 more cards decorated with the Base and Bling line of jewelry products.

The top card has a pendant piece on it and again I have cut off the hanging loop to make it more of a statement piece. The border is cut on the Cricut in the gold shimmer cardstock.

The middle card was embossed in a diamond pattern and then heavily inked using Colonial White ink to give it a Shabby Chic look and again I used the chain as a ribbon and added the bird charm which i had cut off the hanging loop with an old pair of scissors.

The final card features a sticker on its own and the mustache charm again with the loop cut off it.

Even though they all have the same color combination there are 3 very different styles.

Extravaganza 2014 cards with Base and Bling

Here are 3 of the cards which I made using the Base and Bling jewelry line. It is very versatile.
The top one has a pendant piece with just a sticker in it but no glass, the middle one has the pendant with the sticker and the glass added, and the bottom card shows the sticker on its own - not inside the pendant but then using the chain as ribbon.

I also used the Floral Embossing folder on the colonial white cardstock which I then distressed heavily with Desert Sand ink. This folder is available on its own or as part o a 2 design or 3 design discount pack as it will retire shortly. Hop on over to my website to check out the other patterns and get them while supplies last

Beach Baby Colonial White Display Tray

This is one of my favorite layouts which used the base and bling in a different way. I used the chain instead of ribbon underneath the 3 horizontal pieces. This is probably one of my favorite paper packs ever - Seaside - wish it was still available.  I used the Cricut cartridge on the Sorbet cardstock to make the swirls for seaweed and I just tucked the metal compliments in there too.

The Colonial White Display frame is still available for just a few more weeks so make sure you get it while you can.

Love bugs Colonial White Decor. Frame - Extravangza 2014

Here is a different aspect of layout - something very different for me.
I love the soon to be retired Colonial White Decor Display Frame

I used the Base and Bling bracelet oval piece which I took off the band - then I put resin piece in to it.

The Black shimmer trim added some sparkle and the arrow washi tape is fabulous on this project.
Make sure you don't miss out on getting this before supplies last.

Colonial White Frame - Home Decor - Extravaganza 2014

Here is another of my favorite pieces of artwork with my lovely son Leo.
I used the Scholastic paper pack with lots of Lagoon cardstock which I scored and then heavily ink distressed the front - which gives you the 2 shades of color. Love it.

I attached the paper to the chicken wire with liquid glass on the back of the artwork, It held it on beautifully.

I know the frame is no longer available but I know that many of you have this item so I thought it would give you some inspiration.

DAD - 3 Ring Mini Album

I so love this piece from the Extravaganza class of 2014.

I used the Kraft 3 Ring binder from CTMH and have used it to keep all of the cards which I received when he passed away.

I used the Alphabet sticker sheet to spell DAD and then added the glass pieces on top.

I used Liquid Glass to glue two '&' pieces together to give the impression of a metal boat fitting and added an anchor charm to the ribbon on the spine.

I love looking at this and at the cards which I was sent - it is a perfect memory keeper and I will be sorry to see this mini album retire in just a couple of days - make sure you don't miss out

Display Tray - Extravaganza 2014

Yes I know - this is from 2014 but I have a whole month to fill up before you can even begin to see the Artwork from this years Creative Session at Convention.

So here you go - a cute  5' x 7' Hinged Display Tray  Z1838 which I have decorate with fun Base and Bling items - I used the pendant piece as a mini photo frame and lots of ribbon. I used the mustache and the owl charms and just used a pair of old scissors to cut off the hanging loop.

I love this little display frame as it doesn't take up much room and is easy to store when you want to change out your decor.
This item is going to retire so click on the purple words and it will take you directly to my website so that you can get yours while supplies last.

Bracelets, Bling and Sparkles oh my !!

I was so excited with this bracelet - it is actually all made of cardstock. I liquid glassed 3 layers together and then embossed a 4th layer which i then inked and added to the top - it was dried wrapped around a tomato soup can :O)
I added White daisy pigment ink to the bird to soften the color.
The bracelet below has ribbon braided around it .
This Halloween themed bracelet does too. Lots of liquid glass floods the bracelet to hold the purple stars in place. There is Glitter cardstock behind the pumpkin embellishment.
And just to prove that i could.... I used purple shimmer rim to braid this bracelet and then added sparkles around the edge of the glass.
Hope you like them :O)    Love Sara xxx

Choker Style Necklace and Matching Bracelet - Extravaganza

Here is another way to use the long necklaces. I tend to wear shorter necklaces so this was a great way of getting more of a chunkier look to offset the weight of the pendant pieces.
The first Pendant piece with the Eiffel Tower has glitter cardstock inside the pendant.  I then added the Tower Charm and Liquid Glassed it to the rim of the Pendant. On the middle section I used the Cameo image from Storyteller Style Sheet. It is designed to fit the smaller Base and Bling pendant pieces so I added it to the larger oval pendant and then added some of the gold tone glitter paper to hide the gap. last Pendant again has the gold Glitter cardstock in the base with the crown charm liquid glassed directly to it. A sparkle decorates the top of the crown and more charms hand at various points around the pendants. I made the connection point in the front so that the extension chain acts as another charm effect.
I used the same techniques to create the matching bracelet but this time used the camera charm in the first section which I cut the hanging loop off and as a 'piece de resistance' added a tan sparkle to the center of the camera as a lens. As you can see I kept to the smaller circle shaped pendants for the bracelet so the Cameo design fitted beautifully.  Again I added more charms for more decoration.
Here you can see them as a matching set. I was really happy with the result :O)

Family Love Pendant - Extravaganza

Here is a fun way to wear our Base and Bling pendant pieces - especially if you don't care to wear a chain with your pendant. Here I threaded 2 square Base and Bling pendants onto the ribbon and tied them together with a simple knot. I placed them on top of each other like spoons.
I added a rose image from the Storyteller Style sheet and sealed it with a thick layer of Liquid Glass. While it was still wet I added the key charm and the heart charm. I added more liquid glass to both of these charms to add the Tan sparkle to the heart and the newGold Bling Gem to the top of the key. I added a small piece of ribbon to the top of the hanging loop for a little extra touch.
Then I made a small accordion style album to fit between the 2 pendants. I then used more of the word images from the same Storyteller style sheet to fit the sections. On the alternate sections I stamped a tiny heart in Hollyhock ink. I glued the bottom end into the bottom pendant and the top end to the back surface of the top pendant. I added a tiny piece of brown glitter paper to disguise the join where the paper attached to the top pendant.
Hope you like it as much as I do :O)    Love Sara xxx

My Time To Shine Wall Hanging - Extravaganza

Ooooooh - I was so happy with the way this turned out :O) I had a bit of an accident with the Designed Decor Flip Stand Album and managed to break the hard acrylic stand which supports the album on a desk (don't ask - it was my own fault) and you know me - waste not want not - as my mama would have said. So I dispatched Richard to the garage with the instructions to remove the rest of the horizontal piece CAREFULLY without scratching the surface LOL. No pressure then haha :O)

Bless his heart - he managed to do it and sanded the edges smooth too.
I then unscrewed the 2 decorative screws and removed the 2 ring binder piece. I re attached the screws after I had inserted the cardstock background between the 2 layers of acrylic.

I used Outdoor Denim Pigment ink to color the Slate ribbon dark blue and when it was dry - threaded it through the holes and re-attached the screws.
I used one of the new Rectangular Pendants using 3D foam tape and used the words from the 'Journey Style Sheet'. More Ribbon threaded through the top of it allowed me to add a Star charm to it . I love the new Black Arrow Washi Tape which I layered over the Seaside Paper (think this has to be my new favorite paper).
A photo of my lovely boy before his Senior Homecoming party and a photo of the school logo and lots of the Brown/Tan Glitter paper finished it off nicely :O)
Hope you like it as much as I do - Love Sara xxx

Antique Gold Circle Rose Pendant - Extravaganza

Here is a pendant where I altered the connection point of the chain by adding a jump ring from the charm. This way I was able to make this double loop of chain with the pendant hanging on the lower pice - I added a key, rhinestone and bow charms to disguise those jump rings and added the Rose image from the 'Storyteller Style Sheet' for a very Victorian feel to this. I used Liquid Glass to attach the glass cover to the pendant.
Hope you like it - Love Sara xxx
