Family Legacy Hydrangea colored card

I created this card last night using the beautiful March stamp of the month. You know this is totally my style of images 😊
I embossed the flourishes with the Copper Tinsel powder and then colored it using all three colors of the Hydrangea marker. I used the same techniques when I added the flower image from Yesterday and Today cardmaking stamp set.

Love U card

OOOh I love this new Stamp of the month - fun words and flowers. Whats not to love , its small enough to be the focal point of a card and big enough to use as a title on a scrapbook page.

I used the U from the word Laugh as the stand alone letter and I LOVE IT :O)

Look how adorable this cute Tea Bag envelope is and it uses

I used the Shin Han Markers to color the images which I had stamped in Slate ink.

I made a matching card featuring the Tea cup to write a message in.

Lots of 3D Foam tape adds interest along with the sequins & twine which are included in the kit.

Swan Lake pumpkin Card

Here I used Swan Lake paper with Goldrush ink which used the rolling technique and then shaded with the watercolor pencils

Scrapbook Layouts - Cars - Kaleidoscope paper

Here is a layout which I made with the SOTM and the Kaleidoscope paper pack. The pattern is from the Reflections scrapbook blueprints (page 158 of the idea book) 

I embossed the car with White Embossing powder and again with Silver and used just the wheels from the silver image. Lots of liquid glass on the complements add shine - hope you like it X

La Vie En Rose Scrapbook Layout with Life In Pictures

 I decided to make another layout featuring this months Stamp of the Month - Life in Pictures.

I can't tell you how much fun I am having with this set - I think I could make a new piece of artwork every day with it because it is so versatile.

On this layout everything is available La Vie En Rose Workshop on the Go, Poppy, Whisper and White Daisy Inks, Black Alcohol Marker, Clear Sparkles, Liquid Glass and until April 30th S1604 Aprils SOTM Life in Pictures.

Life in Pictures - Stamp of the Month Layout

Oooooh I can't begin to tell you how much I love this layout - it is gorgeous - and so me.

I used the soon to be retired Charlotte Paper and Compliments, along with the CTMH Chevron punch to make the black cardstock look like film strip. 

I dry embossed vertical lines into the 2 10x11" smaller pieces of Whisper Grey cardstock and then direct to paper ink distressed them with the White Daisy Pigment ink which I then heat set.

I layered these on 2 more 12x12 pieces of Whisper Grey cardstock.

Kaboom - Stamp of the month card

I want to have a party and make these fun invites.

I used the Chevron Embossing Folder to make the background and then rubbed the Pacifica ink pad over the op which really highlights the pattern.

I wrapped Backers twin around the side of the card and made the fun ticket by stamping the image 3 times and then cutting different parts from each image and paper piecing them together.

I used the 1 1/4" circle punch to cut the 2 circles for the "fun" image and stamped them in

 Honey and Cranberry inks.

You've Got A Friend card - class project

I really like the color combination on this card - Smoothie and Sweet Leaf give it a fun Spring feel.

This would be perfect for a congratulations card for exams or end of school year or as a thank you for a teacher :O)

I also added the small star from my favorite ever stamp set - Love Life and the dark smoothie and Whisper images are actually from the Charming Chevron set.

Smoothie Stripe Washi Tape over white cardstock (which really makes the color pop) and a piece of silver shimmer trim completes the right hand side of the card.

I stamped the image twine and popped up the center of the image on 3D foam tape.

2 clear sparkles finish it off.

You've Got A Friend In Me - Washi Tape Card

Here is a quick and easy card :O)

I used the Smoothie Washi Tape and Silver Metallic Washi Tape along with 

Silver shimmer trim to decorate the background of the card.

I used both Whisper and Slate Cardstock squares behind the saying which I stamped in Smoothie Ink.

I LOVE the fact that our embellishments (Washi Tape, embellishments etc - match our inks and papers - it makes for a much more professional finished project )

I added a tiny white ribbon bow from the Laughing Lola embellishments and clear sparkles and a couple of tiny scraps of Shimmer Trim behind the bow.

Super easy, Super quick and Super Cute :O)

Ariana Love card - Balloon Talk

I am having so much fun with this Stamp of the Month set - Balloon Talk.

It is so versatile - I have used it with so many different papers and it works with all.

Here I used the Ariana Workshop on the Go - the base is the Hollyhock cardstock

and I stamped in Hollyhock ink to give a Tone on Tone effect.

I used the same stamp ( from the Workshop on the Go) in Buttercup ink on the

squares so that they didn't look so plain.

I stamped the same image on the white Cricut heart shape.

I added Desert Sand cardstock which I scallop punched and then added holes made with

the piercing tool.

I then added a small strip of the Zipstrip along it.

I attached Bronze Shimmer trim either side of the patterned paper and 

3 Brown sparkles finished it off

Balloon Talk Stamp of the month Card

This was a card which evolved as I went - you know sometimes it just works like that !!

It started off where I was going to cover the front of a card completely with the Ariana Paper 

but I caught the corner of the paper under my VersaMat and bent it over.

So I decided to just keep rolling the paper. 

Our beautiful B&T papers are lovely and thick so they keep their shape when you 

do a technique like this.

I did put a thin line of liquid glass to keep it in place.

I then attached it to the white card base along the left and bottom edges forming a pocket.

I used B1443 Hello wonderful from page 26 of the Spring/Summer 14 Idea Book 

on the pull out tag. I stamped the image in Sorbet using the 2nd Generation inking technique 

and then stamped it a 2nd time on a smaller piece of cardstock and cut out just the 

center of the image. I popped it up with some 3D foam tape.

I added a narrow piece of Outdoor Denim cardstock with a narrower piece of Skylark Paper. 

(Good grief I hear you say - Sara mixed the patterns from more than one paper pack ??????)

I know - crazy hey !! It doesn't happen very often lol.

I stamped the word Welcome in Crystal Blue and inked the edges in Outdoor Denim 

and then added a couple of sparkles.

Finally I made the flower from 3 x 1 1/4" circles which I stamped using the same image 

and then curled with the Quilling Tool.

Cross-Stitch Wishes - January Stamp of the Month

I wasn't sure about the January SOTM when I first saw it - not really my style BUT as you can see from all

of the cards etc that I made with it - it really IS my style :O)

This card is a great way to use scraps of cardstock, I added the Huntington Zipstrip and Bronze Shimmer Trim and added Hollyhock cardstock. Stampin the hearts in Hollyhock and Blush Ink.

I made the swirls using the new Stitch Guide and Mat and the Piercing Tool Kit.

A length of the Slate Polka Dot Ribbon adds shine. 

(Don't forget to order your ribbon - as it retires at the end of Jan14)

 This card below was designed my the talented Carolyn Johnson and then I took the idea and ran with it :O)

I added pieced holes to the scalloped edge (made with the scallop border punch)

I also made holes around the edge of the stamped large heart with the Piercing Tool and stamped the row of hearts on the cardstock. 

 I saw a small wall hanging on another ladies blog and this is my version of it.

The zip strip is from Babycakes and I attached it to a 5" sq Colonial White cardstock base.

I stamped the words in Sunset and the hearts in Sweetleaf.

I used the Color Ready seam binding ribbon to hang it up and added a Whisper cardstock back cust at 5.25"sq. Slate cardstock is the smaller grey square in the middle.

Cricut flowers finished it perfectly.

 Again - I saw the idea for a sympathy card and this is my version of it (I apologise I can't remember the site I saw it on ) I made 3 and just changed out the color of the stamped heart to show you how versatile it is.

A small matching sparkle added some shine and interest. A quick and easy card :O)

 I used Proplayer on this card and added Blush and Pear cardstock to give it a Spring feel

I sponged the Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon with Pear ink to turn it green.

 Again I saw a card where the lady had used the arrows to make the background - so I followed her lead and then added Laughing Lola paper and cardstock. Black Shimmer Trim and Cricut flowers finished it off.

 Another card using Huntington Paper and Zip strip. I added Hollyhock again to this kit - so easy to do as there are all neutral colors in this kit - and Bronze Shimmer Trim.

Again I used the Stitch Guide, mat and Piercing Tool kits to add the fun swirls.

 As you probably know I am a great one for cutting my stamps up - either with scissors or with a craft knife. Yes you can do this too - just be very very careful not to cut in to the image.

There is no returning them to CTMH if you have altered your stamps in any way :O)

Anyway I took my Exacto knife and carefully cut around the works in the 'Sew Special' stamp and then I was able to stamp just the cross stitch rectangular border. I then stamped the small hearts in Blush and Sweetleaf to give the impression of a quilt.

 And last but not least here I have turned the hearts into flowers - Desert Sand and Lagoon go together so well - more scalloped boarders and Sparkles and Shimmer Trim add Bling :O)

My Sunshine - March Stamp Of The Month

 What a fun Set :O)  I am loving the great Spring/Summer feel to these cards - banishing the Winter Blues !!

The first card uses the new Claire Level 2 paper pack as I love this Sunset colored diagonal pattern.

Cocoa cardstock forms the base and I added a touch of Outdoor Denim Ink, Chocolate Ink and Sunset ink.and cardstock and lots of Clear Sparkles. This is one of the cards my classes will be making this month.

 On this next card I dry embossed the background and then ink distressed with Desert Sand Ink.

Again I used the Claire Level 2 paper Pack - this time the Denim print paper.

I cut the Hot Air Balloon balloon 6 times and stamped it in Sunset ink and layered them to give them a fun flower feel.

 This summery card has a Topiary Heat Embossed background with sanded Creme Brulee Cardstock

I stamped the Hot Air Balloon in Pear ink  and then Rolled the edges in Topiary to give it a shaded look.

 This lovely card featuring the Tommy Level 2 paper pack was made by my dear friend Victoria Fage and I fell in love with it. She added a piece of Burlap Ribbon and a large pewter brad from the Brads Metal Assortment  for texture.

 Claire Level 2 paper is featured on this card. I stamped the bird in Chocolate ink and added the wing ink Sunset ink. I stamped the new D1544 Distressed Backgrounds on the Cashmere cardstock. The Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon is perfect for this card. The flower is made using the 2" Scallop Punch which is fan folded and cut on every other fold.

This card was inspired by a card made by the very talented Aaron Brown. 

I used Chantilly paper on this little 4x4 card. I used Cotton Candy cardstock and patterned paper and the Cotton Candy Ink for the bird for a very monochromatic look. I cut the birds wing out of the green paper from the kit. I distressed everything in Cocoa Ink.

I scalloped the bottom edge with the Corner Rounder and added Pink Glitter Gems and the Rosette Ribbon.

Event Calendar featuring the December 2012 SOTM

 

 

This is the Event calendar which I made using the December Stamp of the month which was so popular last month.
I used the beautiful Pemberly paper which is perfect for family occasions as the blues are more masculine and the flowers add a feminine touch.
I embellished with Milepost shapes, Silver Glitz Glue, Liquid glass, Colonial White waxy flax and Blue Sparkles.
I hope I have given you some inspiration for using this cute stamp set which is perfect for all year round occasions :O)
