Well done Amy Gehring - here's your Mini Album

A couple of weeks ago I offered a piece of artwork to someone who commented on the '39,000 views' post.  My son picked Amy's name out so here is a sneak peak of the mini album which
I made using the Dakota Workshop On The Go.

So Amy, I do hope you like it - please email me with your postal address and I will send it to you :O)

Inkspirational Challenges Card

I was so stinkin' happy with the finished result of this card.
It was a challenge I found on the Inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com website.

The rules were to use black, bright pink, kiwi colors - I chose Black, Cotton Candy and Pear - which were the closest Close To My Heart Colors.
I stamped the tree image from 'A Tree' on Colonial White Cardstock and used Black Embossing powder with the Versamark ink and heat set the image.
I then colored the image using the corresponding Exclusive ink Marker Sets in Pear and Cotton Candy.
Matching cardstock in Cotton Candy and Pear to mat the image made it really 'pop' and I used the 3D foam tape to lift the Tree image.
I used the corner rounder with the guard removed to make the scalloped edges on both the black cardstock card base and the Pear cardstock mat.
I poked holes into the scallops on the black cardstock using the piecing tool and mat kit.
Large Clear Sparkles added the 'bling' and I tucked a scrap of pink 'bobble' ribbon under the main piece.
Black tulle ribbon tied into a knot onto the front of the card.
I love the finished image and hope you do too :O)

I am headed to the UK

The best laid plans . . . . . .  as they say - I had so many things planned for the week between Christmas and New Year - to update my blog, work on artwork, load photos etc etc etc.
Well its not going to happen quite like that :O(
I have to head back to the UK to see my parents as my Dad is unwell. Yes he is being treated by the Drs. and yes he should recover but he is 84, and not is particularly good health and I feel a deep need to go and spend time with him and with my Mum and to give her a break from the stress of the last week.
So I won't be back here until late on Jan 1st so apologies to anyone who is trying to get hold of me - email me and I will reply as soon as I am able :O)
Wishing all of my followers and friends a very Happy Christmas and Holiday season.

Flower wreath with Cricut flowers

I actually had a day off in my hectic schedule and what did I do ?????
Went and player with ink, cardstock, glitter (no surprise there) and the Cricut with the
CTMH Artiste cartridge.
My darling husband was dispatched to Michaels for a foam wreath form and some pearl headed pins and this is what I made :O)

First of all I wrapped the white foam wreath base in Holiday Red ribbon which gave it a lovely shimmer.
I cut over eighty flowers - some from Colonial White cardstock, some from Ruby cardstock - I then sponged some of  the Colonial white one's with Ruby ink and some with Cranberry ink to give them different tones and shades.I then rolled them into the flower shape and used Liquid glass and glitter on them.
I then secured them in place with the pearl headed pins
Here is the wreath about 80% complete
And here it is complete - I wondered about filling the wreath with more flowers but then
decided that I actually like being able to see some of the red ribbon shimmering through the spaces.
Hope you like it as much as I do :O)
